Albelli, one of the fastest growing e-commerce companies in Amsterdam, consists of a group of brands that supply photo products to more than four million customers in Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Albelli offers its customers personalized photo products such as photo albums, wall decorations, cards, mugs and calendars. To manage all graphics in all photo albums, Albelli was looking for a DAM solution from which all graphics could be automatically accessed to the website.

The challenge

To ensure that Albelli’s customers can create and customize photo albums and other products according to their wishes, the product design team designs various creative graphics and templates. Managing and updating these graphics to the website was a very laborious process. “IMPROVING OUR WORKFLOW: FROM TWENTY-SEVEN TO FOUR STEPS” – was the main goal for Pietro Pagani, Product Design Manager at Albelli.

Content orchestrating

The foundation from which the department works: A solid Digital Asset Management . “Our team now spends much less time on repetitive, manual tasks and more time on research and creativity. That way we can add much more value.” According to Pietro.


Since the product design team has used Qonqord’s DAM solution Woodwing Assets , Albelli has significantly improved its workflow. “We used to go through twenty-seven steps to make a new product go live in our galleries,” explains Peter out. “ Now this takes significantly less time, because the process faster and more scalable. We are also working on reducing the number of steps. Eventually this will be two.”


About three years ago, Albelli started looking for a new partner who could deliver a digital asset management solution. “We took a long time about making a decision. What we especially like about WoodWing Assets is that it can be completely customized to meet the needs of albelli. We also like Qonqord’s pragmatic approach. For these kinds of projects it is important to have face-to-face meetings and to keep the lines short. The targeting and the Qonqord’s pragmatism is a big plus in our collaboration.”


The role of WoodWing Assets is very important for the business proposition of albelli. “Currently, only our team and IT department use it platform, but we plan to expand its use,” says Pietro. He sees opportunities for growth in the near future: “Once we have completed our project, we want the platform available to the marketing team, which is spread across Europe.” Pietro is happy with the DAM solution WoodWing Assets : “It has enabled us to greatly improve our product and process. I am very satisfied with our cooperation”.
