Farm/Misset multichannel publishing

Misset Publishing is the publisher of the leading titles in the agricultural sector. With 140 enthusiastic professionals, Misset works on the magazines, websites, services and events of Farm, Farm Today, Food&Agribusiness, Poultry Farming, Vegetables & Fruit, Trekker, Traktorpool, Future Farming, All About Feed, Dairy Global, Pig Progress, Poultry World.

The challenge

Misset wanted to implement a multichannel publishing workflow that would make it possible to create media neutral content and publish “web first”. Naturally, the daily newspaper and magazines are also produced using the platform. In addition to this content strategy, they wanted to outsource the IT and purchase the publishing platform as an already SaaS (Software as a Service) solution.

Add structure

Misset has opted for a best-of-breed solution in order to allow the editors to work in a media- neutral way with the specific properties of the various publication channels. WoodWing Assets and WoodWing Studio are at the heart of multichannel content creation and facilitate workflow management. In the Online Editing tool, editors produce channel-independent articles. Both the necessary properties for print and for web can be given in these medium-neutral articles. For example, the editor can write tailor-made for print and at the same time include specific parts for web in the same article. The articles are enriched with visual material from the Digital Asset Management System. This all happens in an integrated workflow where different people work on the file. Reed carries out one careful final editing process on this medium-neutral file.
