This summer, Grzegorz (Greg) Affek joined our support team
My name is Grzegorz (Greg) Affek
I am 39 years old, married and have a daughter and a son.
For the past ten years, I have worked for Story House Egmont in Poland, which is part of the Scandinavian media group Egmont, in the position of publishing system administrator.
From the very beginning of my professional career, I have been associated with printing and publishing companies. I started in a family print shop near Warsaw. As a result, I gained a lot of knowledge about printing processes and the subsequent evolution with regard to digitization.
Then I ended up at Egmont. Here I was able to further develop my professional career and had the opportunity to participate in the implementation of different types of IT systems, including the WoodWing platform. During this period, I earned my master’s degree in computer science. I found the solutions Woodwing offered to publishers interesting and was curious to explore this area further. Since I didn’t see any new challenges after some time at Egmont, I started looking for a place where I could develop and train further.
That’s how I ended up at Qonqord. After first having a very nice contact with some application specialists at Qonqord, we stayed in touch and when a vacancy arose within the Support team the circle was complete.
At Qonqord, I started a new chapter in my professional career. The people I work with now are great and are very knowledgeable about content creation and publishing processes. Despite being from another country, I feel completely at ease. It feels like belonging to a family here at Qonqord.
I still live in Poland and travel to the Netherlands every two weeks. Together with my wife, daughter and son, we are considering moving to the Netherlands.
